Apple Picking

This past weekend has been extremely busy for us! We celebrated our church's grand launch on Sunday (for more details, see Daddy's blog), and we were tuckered out afterwards! We wanted to spend Monday having fun and relaxing, so we decided to head up to Charlottesville for apple picking. We had such a great time at Carter Mountain Orchard. We climbed to the top of the mountain, picked apples, enjoyed a picnic lunch and apple cider, and browsed the pumpkins and bakery. When we had our apples weighed at the end of the day, we had picked about 32lbs! (Um, yes, we did get carried away with our apple picking, but we've already made a scrumptious apple pie and have plans for pints of applesauce and apple butter!) We had such a fun time that we plan to make this an annual experience!
