22 Weeks

I am 22 weeks pregnant, and the time is passing faster than ever as the holidays approach. Caleb is certainly growing and getting strong. At a doctor's appointment this morning, a resident started going through some initial questions with me and said, "You're probably just now starting to feel the baby move, right? Soft flutters, maybe?" I laughed and quickly assured her that, no, I've been feeling the baby move since 16 weeks and, yes, we are far beyond the flutter stage. Caleb spends most of the day rocketing around inside and occasionally throws in several hard punches!

Aiden seems to be gradually understanding more and more. According to him, every ultrasound picture is of "baby Cay-bob" and sometimes he'll even tell us that baby Caleb is in Mommy's tummy.

Barring unforeseen complications and with the support and recommendation of our doctor, we're planning on attempting a vaginal birth after cesarean (VBAC) with Caleb. We'll be enlisting the help of a wonderful, Christian doula and are specifically praying for a more positive experience this time around no matter what type of birth we have in the end. Please pray for the baby and me as we prepare for this challenge in the months ahead.

Enough updates! Below is Caleb's baby bump at 22 weeks...
