Sun and Sand

Aiden has asked us every day for the past month if we could go to the beach. I LOVE the beach, and apparently, he shares the same sentiment! So on Sunday morning, we headed down to Virginia Beach almost as soon as we woke up!

We met friends by the King Neptune Statue on 31st Street, a beautiful section of boardwalk, sun, and sand!

And we settled in for a day of play with our buddy
Eli and his parents.

We relaxed and put our toes in the sand.

We kicked around in the water.

Caleb tried to either drink the salt water or eat the sand. Both sound gross, right?!

And we had a splendid day, despite the fact that we actually had to leave earlier than planned thanks to 40mph winds trying to blow away our canopy and only source of shade. Hmmm.

Can't wait for our next beach day!

These pictures are all so great...wish we could have gone, looks like it was a great day. How was the water? Still cold?

What fun! The pictures tell the story so well I almost feel there too. (:
