A Good Report

Starting today, we begin seeing our doctor on a weekly basis. As some of you know, there had been some concern regarding the pregnancy when I began dilating at 32 weeks. Apparently baby Karrer thought he might be ready to join us, and the doctors disagreed! We were pleased to receive an excellent report from the doctor this morning, and we should be out of the woods for the most part. At 35 weeks, the baby and I are healthy and measuring perfectly. Even if he were to come now, he would not need NICU care and could begin nursing without supplements (barring unforeseen complications, of course). He may only need to remain in the hospital a couple extra days to gain weight and adjust to life outside of the womb. We're as anxious to meet him as he is to meet us, but we're still hoping that he can hang tight for at least a couple more weeks. We'd appreciate your prayers for us and baby Karrer.
